I have silly dreams. I call them silly, but they’re really exciting and generally remind me that I have an overactive imagination.

Take last night’s dream for example. Studying under a “master,” I fell in love with a fellow apprentice assassin (James) whose master kills my master because she was jealous of my “date” with her apprentice. According to the rules, my date and myself are now required to fight to the death so that I may defend my master’s honour or die because my master wasn’t a fit assassin (because she died). Little did the opposing master know that my master was my birth mother, which made the assassination a personal vendetta, so I could bypass the apprentice and challenge the jealous wench directly. I figured out that the jealous wench had fought my master once she figured out that I was my master’s daughter begotten from my mother and her master who mastered both of the women. The JW was “cast aside” for my mother and so she killed him, leaving my mother to fend for herself… Etc., etc.

Might as well make it a book, right?

I think the picture says it all, really. What I have yet to hear, though, is what any one is going to do about it.
I think I’m just going to go back to Canada. Their dollar is superior.

Cool, yeah?

Well, now look at the image as a whole. Follow from the belt to the right and up a bit and… Hey, isn’t that a face? Holy crap, the gases of previously exploded stars have created what looks like a man looking at the Hubble Telescope as it snaps the image.

Ok, it’s not really new news to me. I just remembered to mention it since I was talking about Orion in the last blog post. Have I mentioned that I like astronomy?

Today, at work, we discovered something amusing. My manager had previously installed Netscape Navigator onto his work computer, and since we work on web publishing, he later installed Opera so we can see how webpages will look in the different browsers. Makes sense, right? Well, turns out Opera overwrote the navigator.exe file and has it redirect to opera.exe. That’s a low blow, but I sure find it hilarious!

Edit: You know what’s funnier? Navigator replaces the Opera, as well.

Also, AOL/Netscape has this to say:
“While internal groups within AOL have invested a great deal of time and energy in attempting to revive Netscape Navigator, these efforts have not been successful in gaining market share from Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. Recently, support for the Netscape browser has been limited to a handful of engineers tasked with creating a skinned version of Firefox with a few extensions.

AOL’s focus on transitioning to an ad-supported web business leaves little room for the size of investment needed to get the Netscape browser to a point many of its fans expect it to be. Given AOL’s current business focus and the success the Mozilla Foundation has had in developing critically-acclaimed products, we feel it’s the right time to end development of Netscape branded browsers, hand the reins fully to Mozilla and encourage Netscape users to adopt Firefox.”
